Later Dustin Dunlop, who advanced on base Curtin's error, would come home as Joes 2B Zach Willis would have an error that allowed Ryan Ussery to get to first. In the bottom of the third Hamilton would put a run on the board, but the Locos would strike back.
In the fourth inning, George Roberts hit a double to lead things off for the Locos and would advance to third on a Matt Morse sacrifice hit. Then a T.J. McManus RBI single would bring Roberts home to put the Locos up 3-1. However, despite bases loaded, Lima would leave all three baserunners stranded. In the bottom of the eighth, the Joes tied up the game at three with several base hits and a sacfrice fly. In the thirteenth with bases loaded, Joes 3B Bryan Beaver would hit a sacrifice fly that would bring home SS James Sheltrown.

Maumee, OH- Despite a big win to get back ahead in the North Division, Lima suffered another loss, this time to the Lake Erie Monarchs. Lima would fail to get anything offensively for a fifth straight game as they would only notch three hits in the second contest with Lake Erie.
Nine Locos were stranded on base throughout the game and most of them were put there by either walks or by being hit by the pitch. Garrett Black singled in the first, George Roberts hit a double in the second, and Taylor Pickens would single in the third, but then the Locos would be unable to put anyone on base with a hit for the rest of the game. The Locos scored thier one run in the seventh inning, when Will Arnold, Matt Morse, and Pickens were all hit by a pitch. Then Black was walked that scored Arnold. But that would be all Lima could do to put runs on the scoreboard.
