McManus had his first hit of the game, a three run homer that tied the game up at five and would send the game into extra innings. However in the top of the eighth, things would turn for the worse for the Locos after a batter was walked, intentionally walked, and hit by a pitch. Then on a debatable strikeout call, the umpires awarded the Terriers with the winning run on a pass ball. The Terriers would bring in three more runs to end the game 9-5.

But a big third inning would prove to be the difference for the Locos. Cesar Loiz led things off with a triple and then Dustin Dunlop hit a two run homerun to score both. Garrett Black and George Roberts would both single and Andy Chriscaden would single to bring Black home. Ryan Ussery would single and then Will Arnold would then hit a ground rule double to bring home Roberts and Chriscaden. A few batters later and Loiz would be back to single and score Ussery. Dunlop would then have a sacrifice fly to score Arnold. That was then followed up by Black hitting a triple to bring in Loiz and Kyle Niermann (walk) and the Locos never surrendered the lead again. The third inning put them up 9-4. They woud later finish with an 11-7 victory.

Josh Vandemark had the start for game two and picked up the win, his first of the season (1-0). He pitched four innings and allowed nine hits with five earned runs.
