Lima, OH: The Lima Locos were unable to complete the sweep on the Terriers, which would prove to deny them a tie for first place in the league with Cincinnati's sweep over Licking County.

Despite winning the first game over the Terriers 6-1, the Locos would have a rough five error game two, as they would fall to Stark County 5-4 in the night cap.

In game one, six Locos would each tally a hit in the team effort win, as Lima would rally from a 1-0 deficit to score six unanswered to win. Connor Porter would have the start and pick up the win, improving his record to 1-1. He pitched 5.2 solid innings allowing just one earned run on five hits, with four walks and six strikeouts. Will Thomas would pick up the save in 1.1 innings of relief, allowing no runs or hits and posting one strikeout.

Game two saw fielding errors from the very start, but Lima would bounce back and score two runs in the bottom of the first as Chase Davis would hit a two run homerun. Davis would finish 2 for 2 with two runs and two RBI, as well as a sacrifice bunt. However, in the top of the sixth inning, a critical dropped third strike would result in an error that would bring home two Terriers and that would ultimately be the difference.

Ruben Tresgallo would make his Locos debut with a strong 3.0 innings, allowing only one hit and posting six strikeouts. However, Tresgallo would be replaced by Ben Taylor in the fourth due to pitch count, and Taylor would pick up the loss, dropping his record to 1-1. Taylor pitched 1.0 inning allowing three hits with three earned runs, posting one walk and two strikeouts. Garrick Whittle would come in in the fifth and pitch 1.2 innings allowing two hits with two unearned runs and three walks and two strikeouts. Matt Vollenwieder would finish things off with 3.1 innings of no hit baseball, posting only one walk and a solid five strikeouts.

Lima goes to 6-5, while Stark County moves to 4-7.

The Locos will be back in action this Tuesday versus the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League's brand new member, the Dayton Docs. There will be a game between both clubs youth programs, the Lima Express and Dayton Sluggers, at 5 pm which moves the game between the Locos and Docs to about 7:45 at Simmons Field.
