Meyer goes the distance in route to Locos 4-3 come from behind win

Ajay Meyer was just named this summers GLSCL pitcher of the year and he showed just why in game one of the tournament. Meyer tossed a complete game 4 hitter to propel the Locos to a big 4-3 win in the first game of pool play. All 3 runs were earned on 4 hits while Meyer struck out 4 and walked 2. However, Xenia was leading most of the ball game as they scored all three of their runs in the top of the 3rd.

The Locos scored a run of their own in the bottom of the 5th innning, but otherwise struggled to bring in runs until the bottom of the ninth. Trailing 4-1 against the #6 seed in the tournament, the Locos showed why they were the best team in the regular season as they put up 3 runs on 4 hits in the bottom of the ninth inning to complete the come-from-behind victory.
