Joes hand Locos first loss as lighting problem cuts game short

June 13, 2011

The Hamilton Joes took advantage of its breaks to post an 8-2 win over the Lima Locos Monday night at Simmons Field in Lima. The Joes beat out several infield hits while also benefitting from a couple of bad hop singles to plate four runs in the fourth and fifth innings. Lima helped out by commiting a total of six errors, two of which figured directly in the Joes' offensive output.

The game ended prematurely (after 6-and-a-half innings) when the left field lights failed to illuminate and darkness enchroached.

Hamilton is now 2-0 while Lima dropped to 3-1.

The Locos visit Licking County Tuesday night.
